Once a much-loved family home, Château de Bel Air has been thoughtfully transformed into an exceptional holiday retreat while retaining its original charm and character.

Comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests, the château offers five beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom.

Location

Château de Bel Air is ideally positioned for exploring the world-famous Bordeaux wine region, including Pomerol, Petrus and Saint-Émilion, as well as the Dordogne, picturesque bastide towns and historic castles throughout Southwest France.

The Property

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

The château comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests across five bedrooms, offering a mix of double and twin rooms, making it ideal for families and groups of friends.

The château offers 400 m² of accommodation arranged over three floors. The spacious living rooms and kitchen are located on the ground floor, while the bedrooms are situated on the first and top floors.

Every bedroom is air-conditioned and benefits from its own private en-suite shower room or bathroom with WC. An additional guest WC is conveniently located on the ground floor, and a hairdryer is provided in each bedroom.

Top-floor bedrooms

Bedroom 1: Large 180 cm double bed.
En-suite walk-in shower and WC.

Bedroom 2: Either two 90 cm twin beds or one 180 cm double bed.
En-suite walk-in shower and WC.

First-floor bedrooms

Bedroom 3: The master suite features a large 180 cm double bed and extends across the full width of the château, with beautiful views from its balconies. It also includes a dressing room with extensive storage for clothing.
Spacious en-suite bathroom with a feature bath, walk-in shower, two separate washbasin areas and WC.

Bedroom 4: Either two 90 cm twin beds or one 180 cm double bed.
En-suite walk-in shower room and WC.

Bedroom 5: Either two 90 cm twin beds or one 180 cm double bed.
En-suite bathroom and WC.

Cleaning, Towels & Linen

Bed linen, bath towels and pool towels are all included in the price.

For stays of two weeks or more, a complimentary mid-stay change of bed linen and bath towels is also provided.

Baby & Toddler Facilities

For families travelling with young children, the château provides two cots, two highchairs, a baby bath, a baby monitor, a baby potty, children’s toys, books and DVDs. Two stair gates are also available.

Kitchen

The well-equipped kitchen features a large LACANCHE range cooker with a gas hob and double electric oven, a steam oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, two fridges, two freezers, a Nespresso coffee machine, a kettle and a toaster.

Utility Room

A separate utility room is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Dining

The spacious dining room is conveniently located just off the kitchen and enjoys lovely dual-aspect views, creating a bright and welcoming setting for relaxed family meals and special occasions.

Living Rooms

The Living Room – A comfortable retreat with a TV featuring international channels.

The Sitting Room – Overlooking the front terrace and pool, this elegant living space also features a TV with international channels.

Office Desk

A dedicated workspace is located on the first floor, overlooking the pool. It can be accessed from either the master suite or the first-floor landing. High-speed fibre broadband and Wi-Fi are available throughout the château.

The Grounds

The château is surrounded by its own vineyard estate, offering a peaceful and picturesque setting in the heart of the renowned Lalande-de-Pomerol wine region. The vines are part of a working wine estate, providing guests with an authentic insight into life on a Bordeaux vineyard.

There is ample private parking beside the château.

Wine Cellar Visit & Tasting

As guests of Château de Bel Air, you are invited to enjoy a complimentary guided tour of the property’s wine cellar, available in either English or French by prior arrangement.

The estate is a 15-hectare working vineyard producing AOP Lalande-de-Pomerol wines. During your visit, you can discover the winemaking process from vine to bottle before enjoying a tasting of the estate’s wines, which are available to purchase directly from the vineyard.

There are also several restaurants within 2 km of the château, while the surrounding area offers an excellent choice of cafés, bistros and fine dining. For an even wider selection, the vibrant city of Bordeaux is within easy reach.
