Hermitage is a tastefully decorated 5-star rated holiday home with a heated pool, set in one of the most beautiful villages in the Dordogne, Coly-Saint-Amand. Located in the heart of the medieval village but with rural views and private off-road parking.

Air conditioning upstairs and underfloor cooling on the ground floor. A magnificent panorama of the valley and the private parkland. A large wooden terrace overlooking the private, heated pool with a secure electric cover and views over a private grassed garden/ meadow. The house is a perfect mix of traditional atmosphere and modern materials.

The nearest restaurant is an easy 2-minute walk through the village, 140m hotellerieabbaye.com. Two further restaurants at nearly Coly, 4km. Restaurants, shops and supermarket in the nearby town of Montignac-Lascaux, 8km. Large supermarkets in Terrasson-Lavilledieu, 12km.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Each bedroom has its own shower or bath with a separate wc, there is a further guest wc. Hotel-quality bedding, sheets and household linens are provided. Each bedroom has a hairdryer, a TV with French/international satellite channels and a DVD player.

Bedroom 1, ground floor: Beautiful room with easy access for people of reduced mobility, with a large wet room shower with a wc. A large double bed (160 cm x 200 cm) or 2 single beds according to your choice and a wardrobe. TV (French/international satellite channels) and DVD player. Large glass window and sliding door with electric shutters leading out onto the pool terrace. A further separate guest wc is just next to this room.

Bedroom 2, upper floor: Beautiful bedroom with an en-suite wet room shower, a bath, a separate wc and a built-in wardrobe. Super king-size bed (180cm x 200cm) or single beds according to your choice. TV (French/international satellite channels) and DVD player. Air-conditioned.

Living space

The ground floor offers open-plan living with a kitchen, dining and lounge area. There is satellite TV as well as high-speed Wi-Fi and a good 4G phone signal.
The kitchen is well equipped with granite worktops, an induction hob (3 rings) with extractor hood, fridge freezer, single oven, Nespresso coffee machines, dishwasher, juicer, kettle, toaster, Magimix food processor, pressure cooker, steamer and microwave.

Utility room with sink: washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board and guest WC.

Private heated swimming pool

Private heated swimming pool of 8m x 4m and 1.4m deep. Electric security roller cover.

Outside and garden

A decked poolside terrace can be accessed by bedroom 1 and the open-plan living area, the bbq space and the outside table and chairs area is easily accessed from the lounge door or from the pool area.

From the terrace you have access to a very large lawned area, this space is owned by this and another 2 neighbouring villas, all having the same owner, this lawn runs the entire length of these properties, La Forge and La Source.

Private off-road parking for 2 cars (maybe 3 but depends on the size of the vehicles). In the village, there is additional free parking and a fast charging station for electric cars.

Useful information for guests with reduced mobility

Hermitage is wheelchair friendly with a downstairs bedroom and shower room all on one level with the living space.
The bedroom and en-suite doorway both measure 85 cm wide. There is a wall-mounted grab rail next to the WC and in the shower area.

Coly-Saint-Amand and the local area

Hermitage is set in the village of Coly-Saint-Amand and is classified as being one of the most beautiful villages in France and is built mainly of pretty, yellow-stone buildings reminiscent of the Cotswolds. Located in the south of the Dordogne, this charming village has a tourist information office, a fortified church alongside the remains of an old abbey, a Salon de Thé and a shop selling regional produce. There is also a public tennis court and an electric car fast charge point. During July and August, there is a night-time gourmet market every Tuesday evening.
The restaurant in the village is just 140 metres away, an easy 2-minute walk. The restaurant is open for lunch at dinner eat in or take away pizza, please check for seasonal opening times. www.hotellerieabbaye.com/

There are 2 good restaurants in Coly where you can enjoy the gastronomic experiences that the Perigord region offers Manoir d’Hautegent, 4km and La Table de Jean, 3km.

Coly-Saint-Amand

The Hermitage is located in this picturesque village which is dominated by the 11th-century abbey. Designated one of the most beautiful villages in France in 2009, the village square hosts a weekly night market each Tuesday from late June to early September.

Montignac-Lascaux, canoeing and The Cave of Lascaux (8 km)

A charming town set on the banks of the Vezere river where you can canoe. The town also has walks, restaurants and a local farmers market on Wednesday mornings. A popular night market is held every Monday evening from July – September.
The world-famous Lascaux IV caves are also located here. Booking in advance is highly recommended.

Sarlat (21km)

Sarlat is probably the Perigord noir’s most famous town, with little alleyways to stroll around and take in the medieval architecture of the charming buildings whilst browsing the many boutiques. There is a weekly market on a Saturday morning.

Spa and Wellness Centre

Treat yourself to some pampering Lasc O Spa in nearby Montignac.

Water park

For a fun day out with children Quercyland waterpark is located in Soulliac just under 40 km away.

Aquarium Périgord noir

A great place to visit includes an Alligator park. 47km Aquarium Périgord noir.
