5-bedroom holiday villa with a private secure pool on an award-winning Bordeaux wine estate

Jubin holiday villa has a private, secure swimming pool and walks through the owner’s award-winning vineyard. Situated between Bordeaux, Bergerac and Saint-Émilion, near the border of the Dordogne, in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region of southwest France.
Jubin is a large stone barn conversion dating back to the 19th century. The house spans 220 m² and features large rooms, southern exposure, and a warm atmosphere.
The pool can be secured with a retractable cover, which acts as a safety feature and helps to heat the water.
Situated on a privately owned, award-winning Bordeaux wine estate, the vines are open to the garden, and guests are free to walk in the quiet surroundings. The charming owners are happy to offer a tour of the winemaking process and, of course, a tasting. The wine estate tasting rooms are just a 5-minute drive from the house.
The entire house and all facilities are for your exclusive use during your stay.
Bedrooms and bathrooms, Ground floor
Bedroom 1: Beautiful room with views over the pool and vines. Double bed (160cm x 200cm). Large wardrobe. En-suite shower and wash basin only.
Bedroom 2: A pretty room with views of the pool and vines. Double bed (140cm x 190cm), a wardrobe and a table.
Bedroom 3: Well-proportioned room. Double bed (140cm x 190cm), large wardrobe.
Bathroom: Located opposite Bedroom 3, the shared family bathroom has a bath, a walk-in shower and a washbasin. Next to the bathroom is a separate WC. There are two separate WCs on the ground floor.
Bedrooms and bathrooms, Upper floor mezzanine
Located above the lounge at the opposite end of the house to the ground floor bedrooms.
Bedroom 4: A small room with a single bed (90cm x 190cm).
Bedroom 5: Ideal for children, this room has a sloping, low ceiling, a single bed (90 cm x 190 cm), and a single pull-out bed.
Shower room: Shared shower room with a shower and a washbasin only. A WC is located at the bottom of the stairs. There are two separate WCs on the ground floor.
Bed linen, bath towels, and pool towels are included in the price. There are hairdryers.
Living space
Kitchen and dining area
Large farmhouse-style kitchen with dishwasher, large electric oven with grill and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, wine fridge, kettle, toaster, and coffee maker. The dining table and chairs comfortably seat 10 people.
Utility area
Laundry area with a washing machine, a tumble dryer, an iron/ironing board, and a washing line.
Living room
The large lounge is set around an original feature stone fireplace and has double-height ceilings, a Smart TV with French and some English channels, a DVD player, a hi-fi, and a selection of books. The lounge looks over the front terrace through large feature doors. An elevated area houses a pool table. Underfloor heating (payable as an extra based on usage).
Outside space
Enjoy alfresco seating on the patio overlooking the pool and vines. A charcoal BBQ, a stone table, and matching benches under a canopy provide shade. There is plenty of outdoor space for games, including table tennis and a boules court. Guests can also walk through the vineyards on the entire wine estate.
Private Secure Pool
The excellent 10 m x 5 m pool is 1.5 m deep, with walk-in steps in one corner for easy access. A retractable glass cover over the pool serves as a safety feature and helps heat the water.
A sun terrace and loungers provide a lovely space to relax around the pool with views over the garden and vines.

There are many towns, villages and chateaus to explore on your doorstep. The local towns and villages host weekly markets, summer night markets, and various festivals throughout the year.

Train: Ste-Foy-la-Grande is just 6 km away, ideal for day trips to Bordeaux. Bordeaux train station 75 km.

An end-of-stay cleaning charge of £180 applies on selected off-peak dates.

A 25% deposit secures a reservation, with the balance payable 8 weeks before rental commencement.
A £500 security bond is pre-authorised against a credit card 7–10 days before arrival and released after departure, subject to a satisfactory inspection.

A baby cot and high chair are available on request. Please book these in advance if required.
Additional Options Payable at the Property
A cubic metre of firewood can be supplied for €80 if required.
Underfloor heating and, if required, electric radiators are charged according to consumption. The indicative cost is approximately €120 per week.
Pool Information
The pool has a retractable glass cover that acts as a security barrier when closed and also helps warm the water using solar energy.
The pool is open from Easter until the beginning of November.
Please note: Charging electric vehicles from the property’s electricity supply is not permitted.

Situated in the beautiful region of Aquitaine, in the Bordeaux wine area and on the borders of the Dordogne, Gironde, and Lot-et-Garonne, it is considered one of the most picturesque areas of France.
Bordeaux city centre is a 77km drive west. Bergerac is 29km to the east, and Saint-Émilion is 39km northwest.
An ideal base for exploring South West France, Jubin is well placed for visiting the Gironde, Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne, as well as Bordeaux, Bergerac and Saint-Émilion.

As quiet as you wish and on the other hand lots of fun inside the house and outside the house. Only a few cars (2 or 3) come by per day. The owners are nice people, we enjoyed a good wine tasting afternoon at the winery of the owners. The house was clean and very well maintained. Lovely views, nice BBQ place, good pool, The petanque was super nice, yes we will or would for sure recommend this place!”

We spent a lovely week here in July 2015. The photo shows the view of the house from the other side of the pool, but the view from the opposite direction, over the pool and of the vineyards, is just beautiful. It’s such a relaxing place. It is HUGE, and was lovely and clean, nice decor. The layout is a bit unorthodox, with two single bedrooms on a mezzanine floor, but in fact we all fitted into the three double bedrooms. There’s not that much to do nearby, unless you’re keen to venture into Bordeaux, or are really into wine, but this just made it extra relaxing – we didn’t feel we were missing out on tons of attractions and were happy to enjoy the house and pool, the petanque piste, the table tennis and the snooker table.”
