Beautiful relaxing comfortable home from home
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
La Grange Bordeneuve provided a perfect home for our 2 week holiday in the Lot et Garonne region of France. The converted barn was cosy and comfortable and packed with activities which all the family and our teenage daughters’ friends enjoyed. We enjoyed swimming in the beautiful pool – excellent size, soaking in the hot tub, table tennis, lazing in one of the 3 hammocks, sipping coffee/glass of wine at the bottom of the garden. We had 1 rainy day and made full use of Netflix and the DVDs. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed, Susan was kind enough to text ahead of arrival and ask if we wanted her to buy anything in time for our arrival as it was a Sunday, the oven never let us down and there was always plenty of hot water; no mean feat for a party which included 5 teenage girls! The region is packed full of interesting places to go so we explored markets and bastide towns and sampled the excellent cuisine. Thank you Susan and Adam, we can’t wait to return!

Neat & Tidy
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
A very neat and tidy villa. Pool & Jacuzzi clean and well maintained. New equipment in the villa, and the villa is not devoid of salt, pepper, cleaning products etc and so this makes it easy to holiday in (especially if you want to cook something) The owners are excellent and made sure that we were made welcome.

A beautiful, private and well maintained property
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We stayed at this property for a week as a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) and were immediately impressed with how beautifully maintained it was. We were greeted by Susan and Adam who could not have been more welcoming, and who gave us a thorough guide to how everything worked, and who also left us with some lovely bread/cheese/fruit/veg/water and wine which was a lovely surprise, and very welcome as we arrived on a Sunday. The house is just perfect, rustic and quirky but clean and beautifully furnished. The beds were super comfy with lovely bedding, and the kitchen had every bit of equipment you could possibly need. Throughout our stay any queries we had were sorted quickly, and the pool and hot tub were cleaned mid-stay which was lovely. We were especially impressed with the size of the pool which isn’t clear in the photos, but it really is fabulous and was great for cooling down, but also for keeping the kids entertained. The table tennis and boule area were also a definite hit! But most of all we just loved the separate areas we could all retreat to for reading/relaxing/listening to music, both in the shade and in the sun, which really made this “work” for us as a family. The area is rural and very, very beautiful – rolling hills and forest-y bits in between fields and fields of produce – we were lucky enough to be there to see fields of sunflowers and corn, although we had to force ourselves to venture away from the house a bit! Driving in the area was very easy, everything seemed well signposted and roads were surprisingly good to drive on. We recommend Penne, Bonaguil, Monflanquin to name a few beautiful towns and Chateaux close by. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and will remember it fondly. Hope to return some time but in the meantime, thankyou again to Adam and Susan for such a memorable and relaxing stay.

A beautiful, private and well maintained property
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We arrived at La Grange Bordeneuve on 19th June 2016. We were overwhelmed by the grounds, facilities and beautiful accommodation. It was much more than we had hoped for. A family group of 4 (my husband, daughter and partner and I), we had intended to use the La Grange as a base and explore the region. However, we only left ‘our base’ a few times to go to the supermarket, local shop and the restaurant once! It was so relaxing and beautiful that we really didn’t want to go anywhere else!
The pool and hot tub were superb and we spent hours playing table tennis, darts and petanque. We loved the privacy and the fact that there were a number of interesting areas to relax in the shade or sit in the sun. We loved the pagoda area and sat with our wine overlooking the beautiful countryside.
There were beautiful little touches like for example, French bread and jam on arrival, tissues and make up remover pads in the bedrooms and a stock of the basics to name a few. All very much appreciated. Because we arrived on a Sunday and shops were closed the house keeper very kindly bought in supplies for us.
The accommodation was spacious with everything that anyone would need. The kitchen area was well set out and well equipped. The fridge was large and we were able to literally stock it with our week’s supply of food. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated and the beds extremely comfortable. Everything was clean, fresh and well maintained. It is obvious that La Grange Bordeneuve is well loved by the owners. The whole place was a delight and I can honestly say that we have never had such a relaxing, fun and comfortable holiday.
The Barsby family, June 2016

“We really enjoyed our stay at the La Grange Bordeneuve thank you. The house and grounds were lovely and we had a really relaxing time by the pool with great weather in the second week. Amanda and Wavell were fantastic keeping the pool clean and we really appreciated the bottle of wine, bread, eggs etc when we arrived.
We’d recommend La Grange to anyone thinking of staying; it’s a lovely setting and great place for a relaxing holiday, thank you.”
All the best
Gawain, Shirley, June 2015

“We enjoyed a very peaceful week at La Grange Bordeneuve, our grown up daughters my husband and I. La Grange is spacious and very well equipped we appreciated the fact the larder basics were supplied. We played badminton, boules, tennis, monopoly, and spent time in the pool and hot tub.
We found that all our needs had been thought of and we loved the peace and quiet.”
The Smith family, August 2014

“David and Tracy have a great website with beautiful properties at a range of prices to suit all. It is easy to use and gives a very fair and accurate picture of what to expect from the property.  The deposit was returned shortly after we came home without any prompting – always a good sign!

We stayed in La Grange Bordeneuve, near Villeneuve-sur-Lot. The property was exactly as described and what we had hoped for. It is a well-done barn conversion with a great feeling of space and light. The place oozes character and is set in beautiful rolling countryside.

It is well furnished and has good quality appliances and a really nice feel to the whole place.  The American fridge was great as it dispensed ice and cold water.  The sofa looks a bit tired but was very comfortable and they have a huge collection of DVDs to entertain.  I would be happy with the bathroom in my own house – large, well thought out with a clean shower, bath and toilet. Only downside was no shaving light over the mirror!

Outdoors there is a large private garden with a good-sized pool and a separate hot tub. The deck area around the pool is slightly worn in places but is well supplied with sun-loungers and has a great shaded area if the sun is too hot. It also has a boules area which is good fun and a distraction for the kids. Great for wildlife – saw our first ever glow-worms in the garden!

The property is remote and isolated and the nearest shop is a two minute drive, however this is made clear on the website so we were well prepared. Amanda, the house keeper, had thoughtfully provided some bread, cheese, jam and wine as we had informed David we would not arrive until after 9.30 due to flight times. Nearby towns are easily accessible (10-14 minute drive) and have major supermarkets.

Overall we had a fabulous holiday in the property and would highly recommend it for a relaxing and unwinding week.”
The McCarthy Family, June 2014

“We really enjoyed our stay at La Grange Bordeneuve; this really lovely property is a well-appointed barn conversion, with some delightful features. The accommodation is perfect for a family, with smaller or grown up children. (Though the spiral staircase to the mezzanine is steep for older people or toddlers)

Equipment levels are extremely good, almost everything we could have needed was provided for. The American style refridgerator was brilliant!

We found that the variety of outdoor space was really versatile, with lots of options for eating and sunbathing

The pool is a good size, and well designed for a family, with an alarm which was both simple and effective
There are games and equipment to use in the large garden area and the Jacuzzi is a delight.
The plot is secluded and not overlooked, very private (with open farmland to the rear.)

The location is really quite remote, but perfect for a quiet carefree holiday.
The local shop (1km : brisk walk in the morning!) caters for most needs and the fresh Baguettes are fabulous !

We would positively recommend La Grange Bordeneuve”
