Lamouroux is a single-story spacious villa with a home-from-home feel, secure gated and alarmed pool, situated on a quiet no-through road just 600 metres from the centre of the village of Allemans-du-Dropt with a restaurant, cafe/bar, boucherie, boulangerie, organic produce shop, pharmacy and public EV charging. A short drive to other historic towns and villages, SW France.
Lamouroux offers flexible accommodation, which is great for families and friends. The layout with bedrooms at either end of the villa, and a second kitchen, makes it particularly suited to guests who want space away from everyone else.

Allemans-du-Dropt is set on the banks of the river Dropt, where canoeing is available in the peak summer months. The church dates back to the 10th century and has vivid painted frescoes, many of which date back to the 15th century.
This small, historic village comes alive with regular festivals/events throughout the year, including “Mercredis Caches” or Hidden Wednesdays – free music concerts in July and August, offered by the Allemans Animations et Culture association. These concerts are open to all ages, children and adults. Meet at the Town Hall Square at 8:30 pm to be directed to the venue, which will be different every Wednesday, even in someone’s private garden!
5 Bedrooms and 4 bathrooms

Each bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan, and the windows are fitted with insect screens.

Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 are next to or near each other and share two bathrooms.
Bathrooms 4 and 5 are located at the opposite end of the villa, and each has a bathroom.
Bedroom 1: King-size bed 160 x 200cm. Double doors into the garden. Next to bathroom 1 with a walk-in shower, bath, wc, bidet, twin wash basins.
Bedroom 2: King-size bed 150 x 200cm. Next to bathroom 2 with a bath with a shower over, wash basin and wc.
Bedroom 3: Double bed 140 x 190cm, plus a single bed with a further trundle bed that can be pulled out. Across the hallway to bathroom 2.
Bedroom 4: King-size bed 150 x 200cm. En-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, wash-basin and wc.
Bedroom 5: Two single beds 95 x 190cm each. Next to bathroom 4 with a bath with a shower over, wash basin and wc.
Cleaning, towels and linen
Bed linen, bath towels and pool towels are provided and included in the price.
A complimentary extra supply of bed linen and bath towels will be provided for bookings of 2 weeks or more.
Baby and toddler facilities
1 baby cot and 1 high chair are available on request. Please provide your own baby bedding.
Kitchens and utility room
The main kitchen is open-plan to the primary dining area. The kitchen is well-equipped with a built-in single oven, a 4-ring electric hob with extractor fan over, a large fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, cafetiere, and Nespresso coffee machine. There is a large utility room with an additional fridge, microwave, sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.
There is a 2nd, smaller, but fully equipped kitchen/diner located on the other side of the lounge near bedrooms 4 and 5.
Dining table
Open plan dining and kitchen, the dining table seats 10. Just outside here is the exterior dining table. There is a small dining table in the secondary smaller kitchen.
Living room
The comfortable lounge is set around a feature fireplace with a log-burning stove. There is a 43″ Smart TV with Freesat English-speaking channels. High-speed fibre broadband wifi.
Secure fenced, gated and alarmed swimming pool
For the safety of young children, the private 10 m x 5 m chlorine pool has an alarm and is surrounded by a fence with a lockable gate. The depth ranges from 1.2 m – 1.4 m. Roman end steps lead into the pool, step depths are 75cm, 50cm, and 25cm. There is a convenient outside WC located near the pool.
Exterior and garden
A large covered veranda extends across part of the back of the villa, providing a lovely shady area. There are also two sun awnings and an outside dining/BBQ area. The mostly lawned garden surrounds the property and has several fruit trees. A great area for playing games or just relaxing, listening to the birds.

The private driveway offers parking for several cars.
Public electric car charging point operated by SDEE47 (MobiVE) is 600 metres away, 2 Place de la Mairie.
The nearest other charging stations are in Monsegur 19km, Duras 12km and a number in Miramont-de-Guyenne 8km at Intermaché and Lidl supermarkets.

A security bond of £500 is pre-authorised against a credit card 7 – 10 days before arrival and will be cancelled subject to satisfactory inspection after departure.

Lamouroux is new as a holiday rental villa, launched July 2025, be one of the first to stay here.

We had the most wonderful time staying here as a family of all ages. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even sourcing extra items for us on request. Communication was excellent both before arrival and during our stay. The place was spotless and so welcoming, with thoughtful extra touches like fresh bread, milk, and more — such a lovely surprise, and especially appreciated as we arrived on a Sunday when all the grocery stores were closed. The pool was a big hit with everyone, and we really enjoyed making use of the hosts’ local tips: a delicious meal at the hotel restaurant, amazing pizza from the truck in the square, a couple of beers at Christoph’s place, and pain aux raisins to die for at the boulangerie. Everywhere we went, the locals were so friendly and made a real fuss of the kids, which meant a lot to us.
A truly fabulous place to stay — highly recommended.

Thank you so much for pointing us to ‘Lamouroux’ in Allemans-du-Dropt, one of your newest properties. We returned home on Friday after a very happy week. The house provided a perfect arrangement for our extended family group. It was generously and thoughtfully equipped both inside and outside. The children had plenty of space to play in the garden and we all loved the pool. There were games to play inside on a rainy day and the kitchen had everything we needed to make mealtimes easy.
We all agreed at the end of the week that we’d like to go back to ‘Lamouroux’ next summer.
We need to mention that one of the garden parasols blew down in the wind while we were out one afternoon. I informed Neil (the helpful House Manager) and when Pascal came to service the pool he dismantled it, thinking it could be fixed. The central string had snapped and Pascal thought it could be replaced by a stronger cord. Please let us know if we should to contribute towards the cost.
We’re very glad to have discovered your company ‘Holiday Cottages and Villas’ this year for the first time. It was such a relief to have clear, straightforward communication when arranging our holiday. And the selection of properties gives an excellent choice. After arrival, it was wonderful to have Neil, the House Manager, available to help with questions about the pool.
We really enjoyed the recommended night market at Monteton and our early-morning walks to the boulangerie!
