Lamouroux is located just 600 metres from the heart of a historic village, where guests will find a restaurant, café/bar, boulangerie, boucherie, pharmacy, organic produce shop and public EV charging facilities.
Designed for relaxed group living, the villa offers a welcoming “home-from-home” atmosphere with a practical layout ideal for families and friends travelling together. Bedrooms are positioned at opposite ends of the house, and a second kitchen provides additional flexibility and privacy for multi-generational stays.
Outside, the property features a secure gated 10m swimming pool with alarm and a large garden surrounding the villa, offering plenty of space to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting.

Location
Lamouroux is situated in the village of Allemans-du-Dropt, set on the banks of the River Dropt between Bordeaux and Bergerac, known for its historic church with remarkable medieval frescoes, riverside setting and lively programme of festivals and summer events.
The village is within easy walking distance and offers a restaurant, café/bar, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, organic produce shop and EV charging point.
During the summer months, canoeing is available on the River Dropt, while the popular “Mercredis Cachés” music evenings bring live concerts to unusual locations throughout the village.
The surrounding area offers vineyards, bastide towns, markets and historic villages across Southwest France.
Bedrooms
Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, all windows are fitted with insect screens. 3 hairdryers are provided
A portable air-conditioning unit can be hired on request (£100 per week).
Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 are located together and share two bathrooms. Bedrooms 4 and 5 are positioned at the opposite end of the villa and each has access to a nearby bathroom.
Bedroom 1 – King-size bed (160 x 200cm), double doors opening into the garden. Next to Bathroom 1 with walk-in shower, bath, WC, bidet and twin wash basins.
Bedroom 2 – King-size bed (150 x 200cm). Next to Bathroom 2 with bath and shower over, wash basin and WC.
Bedroom 3 – Double bed (140 x 190cm), plus a single bed with additional pull-out trundle bed. Located near Bathroom 2.
Bedroom 4 – King-size bed (150 x 200cm) with en-suite bathroom including walk-in shower, wash basin and WC.
Bedroom 5 – Twin beds (95 x 190cm each). Next to Bathroom 4 with bath and shower over, wash basin and WC.
Cleaning, Towels and Linen
Bed linen, bath towels and pool towels are included in the price.
A complimentary extra supply of bed linen and bath towels is provided for bookings of 2 weeks or more.

Private Swimming Pool
Secure private 10m x 5m chlorine swimming pool with fence, lockable gate and alarm system for child safety.
Pool depth ranges from 1.2m to 1.4m, with Roman steps leading into the pool.
An outside WC is conveniently located nearby.

A public EV charging point operated by MobiVE is located 600 metres away in the village centre.

Lamouroux holiday villa is situated 600 metres from the centre of the small historical town of Allemans-du-Dropt.
The historical towns of Duras 12km (Lot et Garonne), Monsegur 19km (Gironde), Sainte-Foy-La-Grande 29km, Eymet 12km (Dordogne), in the region of Aquitaine, within the Bordeaux wine region and on the borders of the Dordogne, Gironde and Lot et Garonne in SW France.
Supermarkets, shops and restaurants are all situated in the towns above.
The nearest supermarket is at Miramont-de-Guyenne, Intermarché SUPER Saint-Pardoux Isaac, 8km.
The public electric car charging point operated by SDEE47 (MobiVE) is 600 metres away at 2 Place de la Mairie.
The nearest other charging stations are in Monsegur 19km, Duras 12km and a number in Miramont-de-Guyenne 8km at Intermaché and Lidl supermarkets.

Lamouroux is new as a holiday rental villa, launched July 2025, be one of the first to stay here.

We had the most wonderful time staying here as a family of all ages. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even sourcing extra items for us on request. Communication was excellent both before arrival and during our stay. The place was spotless and so welcoming, with thoughtful extra touches like fresh bread, milk, and more — such a lovely surprise, and especially appreciated as we arrived on a Sunday when all the grocery stores were closed. The pool was a big hit with everyone, and we really enjoyed making use of the hosts’ local tips: a delicious meal at the hotel restaurant, amazing pizza from the truck in the square, a couple of beers at Christoph’s place, and pain aux raisins to die for at the boulangerie. Everywhere we went, the locals were so friendly and made a real fuss of the kids, which meant a lot to us.
A truly fabulous place to stay — highly recommended.

Thank you so much for pointing us to ‘Lamouroux’ in Allemans-du-Dropt, one of your newest properties. We returned home on Friday after a very happy week. The house provided a perfect arrangement for our extended family group. It was generously and thoughtfully equipped both inside and outside. The children had plenty of space to play in the garden and we all loved the pool. There were games to play inside on a rainy day and the kitchen had everything we needed to make mealtimes easy.
We all agreed at the end of the week that we’d like to go back to ‘Lamouroux’ next summer.
We need to mention that one of the garden parasols blew down in the wind while we were out one afternoon. I informed Neil (the helpful House Manager) and when Pascal came to service the pool he dismantled it, thinking it could be fixed. The central string had snapped and Pascal thought it could be replaced by a stronger cord. Please let us know if we should to contribute towards the cost.
We’re very glad to have discovered your company ‘Holiday Cottages and Villas’ this year for the first time. It was such a relief to have clear, straightforward communication when arranging our holiday. And the selection of properties gives an excellent choice. After arrival, it was wonderful to have Neil, the House Manager, available to help with questions about the pool.
We really enjoyed the recommended night market at Monteton and our early-morning walks to the boulangerie!
