A wonderful family stayaway
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We had a lovely stay at La Maine. The weather was great, we made great use of the outside spaces, eating our meals outside, using the BBQ most nights. The pool was great & we were reassured to know there was a pool alarm to alert us with our toddler running around. The inside was extremely well equipped and we were very happy to have so much space with 6 adults and a toddler. We had some hot weather whilst we were staying which was fab, however there was limited shade later on in the afternoon by the pool/ larger outside dining space. We would recommend this house, it is well looked after by the owners and they were on hand and gave us a warm welcome.

A superb well equipped villa in a great location
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
It is a great bonus that this villa is within a 30 minute drive from Bergerac airport. We were met and greeted by the owners who were so welcoming with a welcome pack of wines and the local delicacies known as “cannele’s”. The villa is well equipped and furnished and we would have no hesitation in recommending Le Maine to any of our family and friends. The villa is within easy reach of lovely villages such as Eymet and Issigeac where fabulous markets are held. A great place to stay in an excellent location.

Also from the same party
Just returned from our 2 week holiday at Le Maine. We have to say that having stayed in many places in the Dordogne over the last 10 years this villa has to be rated as one of the best. We were met and greeted by the owners and found them extremely lovely people to deal with. The villa was extremely well presented and very well equipped.
A really good 2 weeks enhanced by a great place to stay.

Relaxing setting
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We had the joy of stopping at Le Maine for one week (sadly). The process of booking and the information received from the start was very professional.

We arrived at the Gite and was greeted by the housekeeper who showed us around. The Gite was amazing both indoors the kitchen in particular was well equipped. The outside space was delightful. Plenty of spaces to relax all around the Gite so ideal if you want some quiet time to yourself. We arrived during a mini heatwave so the pool was paradise to cool down several times during the day and night.
The local village which is approx 15 min walk had a small but great bakery/patisserie with lovely croissants and baguettes for sale.
Within easy reach of the Gite were a number of other towns with supermarkets and other shops and Bergerac was only 20 mins away by car.
All in all a wonderful place.

Delightful country villa inside and out
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We based ourselves here for a week at the end of May. The villa was beautiful inside, and also outside with fantastic views in all directions and a lovely garden. With the lovely views and great weather we spent most of our time outside when not visiting the local towns, and really enjoyed the pool. There was the choice of a fifteen minute walk to the village of Singleyrac for bread and pastries or a short drive to Bouniagues for a slightly bigger patisserie, or a bigger supermarket at Sigoules for other food. This was a great place to stay to explore around Bergerac with enough at the villa to keep us occupied in style. We’d definitely come back and stay again.

Back in the UK now after a fantastic holiday. The villa was fabulous, both inside and out. We didn’t spend much time inside because the weather was so good, and enjoyed sitting by the pool or the top of the hill where the views were amazing. We had a few different examples of cannelles out and about in the week, but we enjoyed Inge’s the most. We don’t usually all holiday together but we all agreed that we would go back to Le Maine again. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy such a fantastic time.

A lovely and well located and well equipped villa
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We had a fantastic two weeks here, the villa is extremely comfortable with lots of space for relaxing outside with various different patio areas and the pool area was set out with good furniture and comfortable sun beds for chilling out. It has a very effective BBQ and plenty of tables and chairs for al-fresco dining. The inside boasts a big kitchen which is well equipped and a large dining room and sitting area. The beds were comfortable too and it’s only a shame the sun shone and made us leave the comfort of them. Located south of Bergerac amongst the vineyards, we had a good time exploring the area and cycling through the vineyards. Definitely intend to visit this villa again. The owners were very friendly and had lots of good local information to share.

Immaculate home-perfect for a family holiday

What an amazing holiday! Le Maine was a well equipped house with lots of thoughtful touches that helped us relax into our holiday. Linda and Stuart went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The pool was clean and warm, the stunning gardens and field behind the house (with badminton net, swings and little go-cart) provided plenty of room for the kids to run free. The house was the best we’ve ever stayed in, Thank you.

Amazing property, everything you need for a family

It was a very nice homely property and the pool was amazing. The only downside for us was that we had to travel quite a distance for activities for our boys but apart from that we had a fab time. Thanks x”

“We had a lovely stay at Le Maine. It is a beautiful setting and the house has everything that you could possible need. With a family of 6 we have quite a few to please, but whatever you need Stuart and Linda seem to have thought of it, and are wonderful hosts. The kids loved the board games and the pool, we loved the relaxing terraces and all the games to keep the kids amused. It’s also in a lovely area to stay with lots to do and we spent a great day canoeing. Would highly recommend to anyone as a lovely holiday.”

Exceeded expectations in every way
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
From the moment we arrived Linda and Stuart made us very welcome. They gave us some great advice on where to go and what to see. The property is thoroughly cleaned, very well presented and has every thing you need. Even our teenage boy and girl were impressed!  The longer you get into your stay the more you notice nice little touches that we haven’t had in previous holiday lets. The pool area is awesome, lots of seating and loungers and a good selection of pool toys. It has been a few years since we had visited France and this property, Linda and Stuart’s hospitality along with the beautiful location will secure that we do not wait too long until we return.”

Wishing you lots of happiness and good health for the future.”

“We had a lovely stay at Le Maine, Linda and Stuart couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant. It is a lovely location, very peaceful and nice to be able to walk into the village for bread .
The house had plenty of space, nice kitchen that was well stocked with all you could need including supplies of things such a dishwasher and washing machine supplies. They very kindly left a welcome package with croissants, butter, milk, and wine , it was a welcome surprise when we arrived late .
The pool and gardens were beautifully kept and we were even invited to take fresh produce from the veg garden . Everywhere in the house was immaculate and the x box /satellite channels were an added bonus.
I think Linda and Stuart deserve to have a lot of bookings as they have tried to think of all things to offer their guests and are lovely people.”
