Le Rieutord — Private Secure Pool, Tennis Court & Views near Bordeaux & Bergerac

Le Rieutord is a well-presented stone-built holiday villa with five bedrooms and four bath/shower rooms, a private secure pool and a private tennis court. Situated between Bordeaux, Bergerac, Saint-Émilion and the Dordogne in southwest France.

Accommodates a maximum of 10 guests plus 1 baby in a cot.
Le Rieutord is situated near the picturesque village of Allemans-du-Dropt, 2km away, on the River Dropt. The village offers canoeing during the summer months, a weekly market, butcher, café-bar and restaurant.
An ideal location for exploring this beautiful region of southwest France.

Ground floor

The front door opens into a large hallway with a fitted unit with shelves and a hanging rail.
Kitchen/dining room: Well-equipped large open-plan room with fitted kitchen, breakfast bar with stools, electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and food mixer/blender.
A separate laundry room has a washing machine, tumble dryer, large fridge/freezer, airer, iron and ironing board.
The dining area has a table seating 10 guests and a seating area with a sofa and coffee table.
The sitting room has a fireplace, 43-inch Smart TV with international channels including English and French, DVD player and video player. A door leads to the outside dining terrace. High-speed fibre Wi-Fi is available.
Off the hallway is a separate WC and a shower room with WC. Both are conveniently located close to the pool and garden.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

All bedrooms are on the upper floor.
Bedroom 1: Double bed (140cm x 190cm), built-in wardrobes and dual-aspect windows with views over the front of the property and tennis court.
En-suite shower room with WC and washbasin.
Bedroom 2: Double bed (140cm x 190cm) with views over the front of the property.
Bedroom 3: Twin or double room with two single beds (80cm x 190cm each) that can be joined to form a 160cm-wide bed. Dual-aspect windows with views over the front and side of the property.
Bedroom 4: Twin room with two single beds and a skylight window.
Bedroom 5: Double bed (160cm x 190cm) with dual-aspect windows and views over the tennis court.
En-suite shower room with WC and washbasin.
Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 share a bathroom with a bath and shower over, WC and washbasin.
There are 4 bath/shower rooms in total. Bedrooms 1 and 5 have their own en-suite shower rooms. Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 share an upper-floor bathroom, while an additional shower room with WC and washbasin and a further separate WC are located on the ground floor.
Hairdryers are provided in each bedroom.

Babies and toddlers

The house is equipped with child stair gates, a cot with bedding and a highchair. A baby bath, monitor, bottle steriliser and bottle warmer are also available.

Outside

Guests at Le Rieutord can enjoy one hectare of grounds overlooking farmland and woodland.
An outdoor dining terrace leads from the ground-floor living areas and has a wooden table and chairs. An electric awning provides shade when required.
There is parking for several cars.

Private secure swimming pool

Next to the dining terrace is a private 9m x 4.5m swimming pool with corner steps and an electric security cover.
The pool is approximately 1m deep at the shallow end and 1.6m at the deep end. Three corner steps lead into the pool, with approximate depths of 25cm, 50cm and 75cm.
The pool is usually open from the beginning of April until early November. Sun loungers are provided and the garden is fenced.
A ground-floor shower room and separate WC are located a short distance from the pool.

Private tennis court

Beyond the house and pool is a private hard-surface, all-weather tennis court.
A selection of racquets and balls is provided for guests, although serious tennis players are recommended to bring their own equipment.
There is also an excellent area for playing boules at the front of the house.

Dog friendly

A fence encloses the rear garden, terrace and pool area.
Pets are not permitted in bedrooms, on soft furnishings or in the pool.
A maximum of 1 small to medium-sized dog is considered on request at a charge of £50 per booking, together with an additional £250 security bond.

Private catering, gastronomic experiences and wine tours

Local amenities

The nearest village is Allemans-du-Dropt, 2km away, with a café-bar, restaurant, butcher and boulangerie.
Duras is approximately 9km away, with a selection of cafés, bars, restaurants, shops and a weekly market on Monday mornings. During the summer months, there is also a popular night market on Thursday evenings.
