Chateau Vrai Canon Bouche, luxury holiday accommodation set on a Bordeaux wine estate with a private heated swimming pool and spectacular views over vineyards down to the glistening Dordogne river. Ideally located between Bordeaux, Bergerac and Saint Emilion, near the Dordogne, south west France.
This beautiful original building used for the production of wine on the prestigious Vrai Canon Bouche estate has been converted to luxurious holiday accommodation; each of the 6 en-suite bedrooms have been sumptuously decorated, all have views of the private swimming pool and the surrounding vines.
Chateau Vrai Canon Bouche, an ideal holiday location to experience this wonderful region of France. Bordeaux city centre is just 44km. Saint Emilion is just 14km; you can see the church from the terrace. The Dordogne is close by with Bergerac only 66km.

Exterior and the grounds
A grand terrace runs along the exterior of the property from one side (the kitchen terrace) to the other side (living room entrance) with a glass balustrade which over looks the landscaped garden and swimming pool. Guests are free to walk through the vineyard and take in the stunning views of this wonderful region of France, take a bottle with you and find a spot to rest, relax and recharge whilst overlooking the river.
There is a charcoal BBQ, table tennis and a boules area as well as private parking for 6 cars.
Private heated salt swimming pool
The private heated, salt water swimming pool measures 12m x 6m and is between 1m – 1.9m deep and is protected by an alarm. There are ten sun loungers with some parasols for shade.

Hire cycles and explore the sea front boardwalks, the beautiful sandy beaches or take a boat trip around the bay. You can also climb Europes tallest sand dune, Dune du Pilat for stunning views across the bay.

This holiday villa is ideally centrally located between Bordeaux city, Bergerac and Saint Emilion.
Bordeaux centre is 40km away and can be either driven or take the tram with the efficient Park and Ride system. Bergerac 70km, Saint Emilion 14km. Nearest restaurant is 1.5km away, a selection of shops and restaurants 5km in Libourne. This is the ideal base from which to explore South West France. Located in the region of Aquitaine on the 3 borders of Gironde / Dordogne / Lot et Garonne and is considered to be one of the most picturesque areas of France. The gently rolling countryside is a pleasure to explore, with excellent roads winding their way through fields and vineyards. Perfect cycling country! The market squares are also hosts the many festivals and events throughout the year.
Wine and Gastronomy
The Bordeaux wine region has 21 appellations. Visit some of the many local Caves and Chateau who offer free tastings and tours while you choose a bottle or two. Not to be missed is the world famous Saint Emilion, just a short drive away. A designated world heritage site and is truly stunning. Explore characteristic narrow lanes lined with wine merchants, cafes, restaurants and interesting independent shops. A guided tour of the monolithic church is highly recommended. Follow Rick Steins French Odyssey (Bordeaux to Bazas) trail across this region and encounter some of the best culinary experiences France has to offer.
This designated world heritage site is a must for all visitors. This cosmopolitan city offers a diverse range of attractions. The golden triangle has a fabulous range of shops for those shopaholics. A rich variety of architecture forms the backdrop for the street cafe’s, restaurants, bars and not forgetting the superb Grand Theatre.
The Dordogne is just one of the many places to visit for day trips. Anything from Canoeing or boat trips on the Dordogne river to exploring ancient villages.

Canoeing and kayaking
The Dordogne river at Sainte Foy has a faster pace but has plenty of canoe hire opportunities and literally just go with the flow and be picked up further down stream.
