Perfect stay

Where to start. Firstly this place is gorgeous. It’s like spending a few days in a vogue magazine. The way Jo and Colin have decorated and designed their place; every tiny touch is so beautiful. It’s ‘London cool’ amongst the vines. And with lots of different spaces, it’s perfect to enjoy drinks with friends or get away from everyone (as we also did). Our hosts Jo and Colin were brilliant. We instantly felt so welcome. Very considerate hosts, quality bed and bedding and a shower to die for. Not knowing much about the area we took all of our recommendations from Jo and Colin. Day 1 for us was an electric bike tour of the wineries around St Emilion. It was a beautiful way to see the surrounds. And Day 2 (our highlight of the trip) saw us spend the morning in a stunning village market where we spent too much money on cheese and meats. From there we returned to the house and (with help from our hosts) we set up shop around the pool for the day, enjoying the food and wine we sourced over the past two days. It was relaxation and gluttony at its best. Overall; just a lovely stay. We needed a break from the world and that’s what we got. Tips – hire a car. There is so much to do within a 30 min drive from the house. – take a book and chill in the surrounds.

A real gem surrounded by beautiful countryside.

From the moment we drove up the gravel drive we knew we had arrived somewhere special. Our lovely hosts Colin & Jo greeted us like friends & it really felt like you had come to visit. The moment I walked through the main entrance I was wowed! Being told by Jo this place is yours to enjoy during your stay. It was very quiet so a good nights sleep was had by all. My only regret is we didn’t stay longer. Colin & Jo had advised us that this time of year there are wonderful night markets to be explored. So this is a must next time. Maison des Quatre Saisons is a beautiful tranquil delightful place to stay. It truly feels like a home from home.

Out of this world, owners go above and beyond.

Amazing, the hosts were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble, rooms so very clean and there was nothing that hadn’t been thought of. Impeccable eye for detail. Thank you again.
