Petit Galice is a charming 3-bedroom holiday gite for up to 6 guests, with a shared heated 11m x 5m swimming pool, hot tub, games barn, woodland walks and fishing lake near Duras and Monsegur.
Set in peaceful rural surroundings, Petit Galice enjoys lovely countryside views across extensive grounds with woodland and a lake.
The swimming pool is shared with the welcoming and discreet owners, Catherine and Laurent, and guests staying at the neighbouring 3-bedroom gite, Grand Galice.
Catherine and Laurent live on site with their friendly Collie, Jango, a cat, chickens and goats. They are available if required during your stay while respecting guests’ privacy.
Petit Galice is a renovated farmhouse offering approximately 85m² of comfortable accommodation while retaining the character of the original building.
Dogs are not accepted at this property.

Petit Galice has 3 bedrooms, 1 shower room and a separate WC.
A hairdryer is provided.
Bedroom 1: Spacious bedroom with a wood-panelled feature wall and large double bed (160cm wide). Electric radiator.
Bedroom 2: Twin bedroom with 2 single beds (90cm wide each) and a wood-panelled feature wall. Electric radiator.
Bedroom 3: Spacious bedroom with a wood-panelled feature wall and large double bed (160cm wide). Electric radiator.
Shower Room: Walk-in rainfall shower and washbasin. The washing machine is also located in this room.
There is a separate WC.
Children and Baby Facilities
A cot and high chair can be provided on request.

Games Barn
The large games barn has plenty of seating, table tennis and table football.
This facility is shared with guests staying at Grand Galice.
Gardens and Lake
The extensive grounds enjoy peaceful, unspoilt countryside views.
A pleasant woodland walk leads to the lake, where seating areas provide a quiet place to relax and watch wildlife. Deer may occasionally be seen in the surrounding woods.
Fishing is available in the lake, which contains several species of fish.
There is also a purpose-built pétanque court for guests.
Shared Heated Swimming Pool & Hot Tub
The 11m x 5m heated chlorine swimming pool is shared with guests staying at Grand Galice and the owners.
A straw hut and parasols provide shade around the pool.
The pool is open and heated from 1 May to 30 September.
Complimentary use of the hot tub is included in the price.
The hot tub accommodates up to 4 people and is available throughout the year except during July and August.
Pool towels are available on request.
What to do in the area and beyond
Petit Galice is near Duras 6km and Monsegur 15km, in the Bordeaux wine region close to the borders of the Dordogne, Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne.
Both historic bastide towns have weekly markets, restaurants, cafés, bars, pharmacies, banks, shops and boulangeries.
Popular summer night markets are also held during peak season, combining local food, music and entertainment.
A Carrefour supermarket and petrol station can be found in Duras 6km away, with further supermarkets in Monsegur and larger stores in Sainte-Foy-la-Grande 18km away.

Reservation Information
No booking fee.
A 25% deposit secures a reservation, with the balance payable 8 weeks before rental commencement.
A €500 security bond is pre-authorised against a credit card 7–10 days before arrival and released after departure, subject to a satisfactory inspection.

The pool is shared with the owners and guests staying at the neighbouring gite.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Catherine & Laurent’s place. Beautiful surroundings, a clean and spacious house, and plenty of privacy for all their guests (there are 2 houses for rent). Catherine gifted us some homemade plum jam and a bottle of local rose on arrival, hosted Sunday afternoon drinks to meet the other group that was staying in the adjacent house and we were able to charge our Tesla on the premises. Sharing the swimming pool was totally fine. Totally recommend this place and would go back anytime!!
