Reverie en Perigord is a beautiful luxurious adult only holiday lodge with a private heated spa pool, sauna and a hammam steam room, 3km to Eymet. The popular historical town of Eymet with a selection of restaurants and shops. Set in the Dordogne, SW France.

Reverie en Perigord is just 3km from the historical town of Eymet and 23km from Bergerac. Near the towns of Lauzun 10km, Miramont de Guyenne 14km, Duras 23km and Monsegur (33580) 31km.

This luxurious property is detached and air-conditioned, with an office space with a computer and large smart TV with international channels. All facilities are private for your use.

This is one of 3 neighbouring lodges, all adult only and offering the same facilities but decorated quite differently.
There is an additional separate 4th property, L’Annexe. Compared to the lodges it is smaller, a 1 bedroom self-contained apartment without the facilities of the lodges but can be booked if you require a 2nd bedroom, L’Annex is located next door to Reverie en Perigord.
An additional property, Le Refuge is a 2 bedroom villa 2 minutes walk down the road.
The lodges are managed by the owners who live in a neighbouring property just down the road, a very welcoming couple.

Children over the age of 18 months are not permitted at Reverie en Perigord or the other lodges located here.

Bedroom and bathroom

Luxury bedroom:
180cm wide 200cm long King Size bed with bed linen provided. Air-conditioned, Bluetooth speaker and Smart TV.
The door opens out onto the terrace with wonderful views. Electric shutters and blinds to the windows and door.

Luxury bathroom:
The beautiful bathroom has a feature bath, a walk-in shower, two wash basins and an electric towel radiator. Supplied for your comfort are bathrobes, towels, bath towels, slippers and a hair dryer. Fitted wardrobes are just outside the bedroom next to the separate wc.

Cleaning, towels and linen

Bed linen, bath towels and pool towels are provided and included in the price. These are changed twice a week.

Kitchen and dining

The kitchen is air-conditioned and facilities include crockery and cutlery, mineral water, kettle, toaster, citrus press, kettle, oven, microwave, hob, freezer/fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine with a sachet of coffee beans and a selection of teas and infusions,
Stunning views from the kitchen with a full-width window and glazed door. The door opens out onto a separate terrace with a table and chairs to admire the view, a perfect spot for the morning sun. Steps lead down to the lower terrace.

Office

An office space with a desk and a computer for your use and a safe, WiFi throughout, there is a good 4g mobile signal.

Air conditioning

Air conditioning in the bedroom and kitchen is included.

Private Spa pool

Walk out from either the bedroom or the Spa room onto the decked terrace there is a spa pool with a separate hot tub space, they are heated. 2 sunbeds, 2 chairs and a parasol are on the terrace. The property faces southwest so the pool terrace will be in the sun all day except for early morning, you will see stunning sunsets from this terrace.
The spa pool and hot tub are open and heated throughout the year.

Private Hammam Steam room and Spa room

A fantastic facility is the Spa room with a Steam/Hamman room and a large walk-in shower.

Private Sauna

Outside the Spa room is a wooden pod Sauna.

Outside terraces, garden and parking

A number of terrace areas, one from the kitchen which will lead down via steps to a lower terrace that spans the entire width of the lodge. There is an additional deck in the garden with a seating area/ hammock. The main upper spa terrace is accessed via the bedroom and the spa room, there are chairs and sun beds, also a sun shade. The lodge is surrounded by grass, there are planted borders and art installations.
Plenty of off-road parking and there is your own parking space by your path to the front door. The private driveway runs along all 4 lodges and has electric gates.

Wheelchair friendly, users and guests that are not so mobile, useful information

The property is generally wheelchair friendly. Wide doorways throughout, step free into the house, without steps inside the lodge and the bathroom door slides. In the kitchen, there is a low table/worktop and a wide space next to the wc. Easy access to the kitchen and bedroom/spa pool terrace. There are not any specific adaptions to the lodge such as grab rails.
The Spa room and Hamman is easily accessible but the Sauna is not accessible with a wheelchair as there are some steps. The garden is on a slope to the lower terrace, this is uneven grass and the slope may not be suitable for a chair. You have your own wide parking space by the path to the front door, without steps and is fairly flat. The driveway gates are electrically operated.

The local area and what to do, Eymet / Monsegur / Duras, Bordeaux and the Dordogne, France

Reverie en Perigord is just 23km from Bergerac. Near the towns of Eymet (3km), Lauzun (10km), Miramont de Guyenne (14km), Duras (23km), Monsegur 33580 31km.

Reverie en Perigord is Situated in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in the Dordogne department, southwest France.

Supermarkets:
The nearest large supermarket is Carrefour Contact Eymet, 1 Route de Bretou, 24500 Eymet. 2.6km, 5 minutes drive.
Open Sunday morning until 13:00.

Bordeaux city centre is 119km drive to the west and St Emilion 58km northwest.

This is the ideal base from which to explore South West France. Located in the region of Aquitaine on the 3 borders of Gironde / Dordogne / Lot et Garonne and is considered one of France’s most picturesque areas.

The gently rolling countryside is a pleasure to explore, with excellent roads winding their way through fields and vineyards. Perfect cycling country!

Eymet, Monsegur and Duras are ancient Bastide towns set around a market square that hosts weekly markets and a weekly night market during the peak summer season. There is a good selection of shops including cafes, bars and a pizzeria which hosts weekly live music.
There is also Cinema Eden in Monsegur, which does show international films in their original language version (VO), a selection of English speaking films with French subtitles.

The market squares are hosts to many festivals and events throughout the year.

Wine and Gastronomy

The Bordeaux wine region has 21 appellations. Visit some of the many local Caves and Chateau that offer free tastings and tours while you choose a bottle or two.

Not to be missed is the world-famous Saint Emilion, just a short drive away. A designated world heritage site and is truly stunning. Explore characteristic narrow lanes lined with wine merchants, cafes, restaurants and interesting independent shops. A guided tour of the monolithic church is highly recommended.

Dordogne

The Dordogne is just one of the many places to visit for day trips. Anything from Canoeing or boat trips on the Dordogne river to exploring ancient villages.

Bordeaux

This designated world heritage site is a must for all visitors. This cosmopolitan city offers a diverse range of attractions. The golden triangle has a fabulous range of shops for those shopaholics.
A rich variety of architecture forms the backdrop for the street cafes, restaurants, bars and not forgetting the superb Grand Theatre.

Markets

Most villages and towns hold weekly markets full of fresh and interesting local produce. An ideal place to pick up your holiday mementoes and gifts.
Eymet (3km) Thursday morning. Miramont de Guyenne (14km) Monday morning.
Eymet, Monsegur and Duras also have night markets during the summer where you can eat and have a drink as well as browse the many stalls.

Coast, Beach and Water park

A freshwater lake with a sandy beach at Blasimon is just 52km away and is a popular attraction to take children for a day out. The gently shelving sand provides a fun environment for splashing around and cooling off in the heat of the summer sun. Blasimon lake.

Aqua Park is 23km located near Bergerac. Beach, canoeing and a water park.

Aqua Fun Park near Casteljaloux is 62km. Park with a huge freshwater lake, picnic benches, walks, facilities, a man-made sandy beach, water sports, kids’ play area…. great for adults of all ages.

Visit Europe’s largest sand dune 172km, the Dune du Pilat where both the climb and the views will take your breath away! Reward yourself with fresh seafood from the Bay of Arcachon or take the ferry to Cap Ferret and feel the sand between your toes whilst you enjoy oysters and chilled white wine.

Chocolate

Yes, we believe chocolate is also an activity, we often have to visit to make sure the quality is up to standard… Maison Guinguet 24km, near Duras. A nice shop to visit, selling chocolate, gifts and offers guided visits to their artisan factory in July and August.

Duras Castle

The famous Chateau de Duras, 23km away. It’s well worth a visit, climb to the top and see the stunning 360-degree vista.

Jardin de Boissona has six little gardens, each with its own character. Outside and inside seating. Known for their teas and delicious cakes. 25km.

Public tennis courts

Good quality courts are located in Miramont de Guyenne 14km and are usually booked via the local tourist information office.

Canoeing and kayaking

Canoe hire is available on the rivers. The river Dropt winds through the valley with a slow flow on it.
The Dordogne river at Sainte Foy has a faster pace but plenty of canoe hire opportunities and literally just go with the flow and be picked up further downstream. Of course, the easiest way is a boat trip and letting someone else do the work.
