We are now home and look back at a very enjoyable holiday! We all loved Le Verger and were delighted to meet you both. The family are all very keen to return next year so thank you for your offer! I shall certainly be speaking positively to other family and friends. Once again thank you so much for providing a wonderfully thought-through holiday home!! We do hope you have a good season”.

“I know my mum sent you an email but I also wanted to add my thanks. We really did have such a brilliant time. The house was so well set up for a family holiday, especially for the little ones – they had so much fun in the pool, on the trampoline and playing with all the toys. It was all so well laid out so that everyone had their own space and there was lots to keep the little ones amused spread out so well all over the garden. It is also just such an amazing location surrounded by vineyards but with so many things to do nearby – more wine tasting for me next year when Emma will be a bit older and the lakes were great. We are already really looking forward to next year.

Thanks again

“Outstanding house, fab location, wonderful “hosts”

…wonderful combination of a gloriously grown-up getaway that is also ideally suited for children. We weren’t travelling with children – but have strongly and heartily recommended it to all of our friends with kids since our return. Mutliple ‘lounges’ with one including a Nintendo Wii, lots of kids toys, DVDs and books plus a swimming pool and extensive grounds make this the perfect place for children to play and relax. The beautiful decor, nice furniture and proximity to the Bordeaux Chateaux makes this a great adult playground.

From the friendly and useful pre-arrival information to the attention to detail in decor, services and information at the house, this ‘gite’ is more boutique hotel than self-catering rent-a-house. I thoroughly recommend Le Verger and advise other Gite owners to take a leaf out of Debbie and Richard’s book for a winning formula.

We’ll definitely be going back. My only hesitation about recommending the house is the potential for booking competition in future – I’d like to keep this one all to myself!

“My fourth holiday at this wonderful house”

I have been here four times now – the other times with friends – and the moment I saw it years ago I thought of it as the ideal place for my parents’ golden wedding party, which was in early May this year. We were seven adults, three young kids, a lovely house, a beautiful garden, and everything fitted up to a really high standard. There is a lot of space, so you can join in with everyone or be quite private as you prefer.

Debi and Richard are really welcoming and helpful, there is tons to do either at the house or nearby, and I can’t recommend it enough as a place for a great holiday.

“Beautiful and tranquil and absolutely exceeded expectations”

I stayed last week with my wife and daughter (7 months) and a group of friends and their families. Together we were 9 adults, 2 Children and 3 infants and travelling from different locations in the UK and one member of our party from the US.

The accommodation and surroundings are breathtaking and a real genuine slice of french culture and whether you are looking for quaint local villages or larger towns or simply to relax within the privacy of Le Verger, you can do them all.

To say that Le Verger is Child Friendly is an understatement. The children were well occupied with plenty of the toys/activities/games provided and the little details necessary for the babies were also catered for, high chairs, an abundance of cots, plastic plates/spoons, steriliser etc etc which made the holiday much less stressful with less to pack and nothing to worry about.

Deborah and Richard were always on hand when we needed them and also provide some extremely comprehensive information about things to do in the area.

Le Verger is in a rural area which won’t suit everyone but it was definitely what we were after

It’s safe to say that we all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would highly recommend to others.

“Surely HEAVEN is this is what designed on”

The most beautiful, comfortable, luxurious accommodation that i could ever wish to stay at. An absolutely stunning location, with everything could ever hope to have at hand. The pool was gorgeous, the play area suitable for even thirtysomethings!

I am already planning my return. Oh and my friend who booked it, Niki, is an absolute diamond for finding such a gem.

“Excellent property with helpful advice and guidance from the owners”

We had a fantastic stay at Le Verger. The property itself is stunning and very well maintained. We found the owners extremely helpful in providing information and recommendations about things to do in the surrounding area and even provided a shopping service for our arrival. Absolutely superb and very relaxing!

“Fantastic large holiday home with everything we needed and more”

We went as a family of 14 including 7 children under 3 .what a find . Our holiday started with all our shopping waiting in the cupbords and 6 travel cots made up wine on the table and amazing views over the vineyards. The house is beautifully furnished and yet we enjoyed it like it was home . The children loved the toys, especially the train track and ride on tractors. Having gone out as a family with children we all agreed le verger would be a special place to go as a large party of adults . All the rooms were very comfortable and had lots of extras . the extensive grounds with table tennis, swimmimg pool and all the electrical equipment kept the adults content. This was a holiday to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary it came up to our expectation and more.

Very enjoyable stay everything was perfect . would actually say this is 1 of the best places i have ever stayed in.

Fabulous, right from my first enquiry. The owners were really helpful and none of my questions seemed too trivial. They responded quickly and were very informative. On arrival, Richard and Deborah were there to greet us, offered to carry our bags, showed us round, then left us to it. Twice we wanted some information and they were right there.

The house itself, and the grounds, were breathtakingly beautiful. Stunning. The owners had thought of everything, right down to a hand blender!

I went in a group of 12 ladies and we had an amazing weekend. Thank you so much, Richard and Deborah.

(And I highly recommend a tour of the local vineyard)

”A near perfect holiday villa”

It is not easy to find a villa which caters for the needs of discerning adults, demanding teenagers and young children but Le Verger does just that. To start with the building is beautiful and situated in glorious, tranquil countryside 15 minute from a market town on the Dordogne river and the main Bordeaux-Bergerac road. It is furnished to the highest standards providing everything necessary for a two week holiday from cooking facilities for foodie mum; electronic equipment for teenage children; play areas for tinies; a beautiful , spotless swimming pool; and endless quiet areas inside and out for grandma. My only, small quibble is that two of the double rooms are a bit small and consequently I think 14 people is stretching the accommodation . Debi and Richard are the perfect owners: there when you need them and out of sight when you don’t. This was the third year we have come and we have already booked for next year.

“Fabulous holiday. Highly recommended”

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday – fabulous gite, facilities & location. We were a mixed age family group, and the place suited us all perfectly. The owners, Debi & Richard, were very thoughtful, kind & helpful, and ensured that our stay was perfect. We are hoping to return another time, and would highly recommend this gite for a fabulous holiday

“Excellent in all respects. Fantastic!”

Holiday arranged for a family of 14, ages ranging between 1 to 72 years.A celebration for a 70th birthday. This is a perfect destination and accomodation for any event. The children thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool and all of the other facilities, too many to mention.Weather very good, pool used everyday. Accomodation was first class with many nice features. On arrival at Le Verger everyone said perfect, after our weeks holiday we could not have improved anything.

Le Verger is situated in a very picturesque area of France, and to those who like their wine they would be spoilt for choice. We certainly did our best to sample the local ones.

We would all have no hesitation in having another holiday here.

Our compliments to the owners for what they have achieved.

“The Perfect Place for Kids”

We had a wonderful week. The service we received from the owners, Richard and Deborah, ahead of our arrival and during our stay was excellent. They could not have been more helpful. The property is ideally situated, a short drive to airports, shops and wine tasting yet in an incredibly quiet and peaceful location. Le Verger is the perfect place to stay with children. We were a group of 3 families with 5 babies yet there was plenty of space and Richard and Deborah arranged everything we might need from cots to changing mats to highchairs. The gardens and swimming pool are beautifully maintained and have everything required to keep children entertained! We are already considering a return visit next year and would highly recommend Le Verger to friends.
